Chart of
Accounts
QTB makes creating or importing a chart of
accounts easy using wizard-like interfaces with
step-by-step instructions. You can import a
chart of accounts and beginning balances from
QuickBooks, Peachtree and other popular
accounting programs. See a screen shot from
QTB's import wizard below.

Managing your client's chart of accounts is
even easier! Enter beginning balances, working
paper references, cash receipts and
disbursements and adjusting journal entries with
our easy-to-use interface! You'll never
have to wonder if your working or adjusted
trial balances or prior year beginning balances
are right because QTB keeps a running balance to
make sure debit and credit amounts are in
balance.

Cash Receipts and
Disbursements
If you are entering cash receipts and
disbursements, simply associate the accounts in
your file for cash receipts and disbursements
and make the entries necessary to track cash
going in and out of your company. See the screen
shot below for an example of entering a cash
receipt:

Entering cash
disbursements and journal entries work very
similar to cash receipts. In addition, you can
import prior year beginning balances for your
chart of accounts or enter them in QTB. The
following example below shows QTB's prior year
beginning balances data entry screen:
