Ratios Plus

Creating a New Company

Ratios Plus makes it easy to create a new company file and select which ratios you will need. Just use the "New Company" wizard to create a company and select the ratios you wish to print. Ratios Plus only requires the specific financial statement information needed to calculate the ratios you select for each client! In addition, you can input both yearly and monthly financial statement amounts. Ratios and financial statement data can be compared on an annual or monthly basis. Entering monthly data in Ratios Plus is not required and you only have to enter prior year data if you like as prior year amounts aren't required either. Managing your company files is easy through the File Listing screen. After creating company files in Ratios Plus, they are automatically added to the your Client File Listing. In addition, you can edit, rename, copy, save as..., or delete these files at any time through the Client File Listing.



Selecting Ratios

By default, Ratios Plus automatically selects all ratios to print and enter data when creating a new company. However, you can change which ratios to enter data for and which ratios will print by selecting the option "Select Active Ratios" which is located under the Ratios Menu option. Below is an example of the Ratios Select screen.

You can select as many or as few ratios as you would like for each company. Ratios Plus will also alert you if you have ratios selected for which you have not entered any data for. In addition to the ratios built-in to ratios Plus, you can also create up to 10 user-defined ratios. To create your own user-defined ratios, select the option "User-defined Ratios" located under the Ratios Menu.

Adding and Editing Financial Data

Once you have selected which ratios you will be entering data for, simply select the Add/Edit option located in the Financial Data Menu to enter the data which corresponds to the selected ratios. Notice that some fields will be marked with a red asterisk to indicate that this data is required to print the ratios that have been preselected for your company. In addition to entering yearly financial data for your client, you may also enter monthly financial data. This can be especially helpful for companies that would like to compare monthly data. Ratios Plus allows you to enter monthly data and will total the amounts for annual financial statement comparison and ratio generation.

 

Reports

Ratios Plus has an extensive list of reports including the following:

  • Client Information Reports
  • Client Listing Reports
  • Ratio Information Reports
  • Ratio Detail Reports
  • Ratio History Reports
  • Ratio Comparison Reports
  • Ratio Data Reports

In addition to printing reports, you can save them to a file or email them directly from within Ratios Plus in the following formats:

  • Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
  • MS Word (.doc)
  • MS Excel (.xls)
  • Rich Text Format (.rtf)
  • Plain Text Format (.txt)
  • .html and .xml Formats

In addition to these reports, Ratio Plus can chart your ratios or financial statement data. Simply select the Chart Wizard located at the bottom of the Reports Menu. This wizard will guide you through the steps necessary to create a visual representation of any data entered in Ratios Plus.
